Dear Woodcreek neighbors,

Wow, what a year! Our "sleepy neighborhood" has been discovered by people in the surrounding communities! Property values have risen dramatically over the last couple years and with it new residents updating homes and yards.

Your Woodcreek Neighborhood Association (WNA) has been busy as well. Last year, we worked closely with the City of Carrollton on several projects impacting our community. Among them:

  • Contributing to the efforts of the city and BNSF to create quite zones for the train horn from
  • Hebron Parkway to Perry Road—a 5+ year project!
  • Addressing the increased flooding concerns of neighbors along the Hutton Branch Creek.
  • Pursuing drainage expansion under the railroad tracks with the City and BNSF.
  • Enhancing common areas surrounding and within Woodcreek neighborhoods.
  • We also increased neighborhood services and social events including:
  • Welcoming new residents and providing them with useful neighborhood and city information.
  • Gatherings to get-acquainted and meet your neighbors.
  • Holding the Annual Santa Parade and food drive as well as our Christmas lights competition.
  • Continuing efforts to improve our website www.woodcreekneighbors.org.
  • Publishing 4 issues of our newsletter—Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall (archives are on the website).

Finally, we continued to assist and educate residents about codes and ordinances, as well as concerns to the appropriate personnel at City Hall. This advocacy function is critical to keeping Woodcreek an outstanding community.

For 2017, we will continue our programs and implement new ones as they are needed. We plan a large project to replace the sign at the Woodcreek North entrance with a larger sign, expanded landscaping and improved lighting.

However, to continue these projects we need one very important thing…YOU!

After all, YOU, and your neighbors are why we exist. Our residents created the Woodcreek Neighborhood Association many years ago to help care for and maintain the high standards of quality you demand for yourself and your children.

Please renew your membership in (or join) the Woodcreek Neighborhood Association by completing and returning the enclosed Membership Application!

We have created 3 levels of membership in the association. The top tier, Gold Level, costs 20 cents a day ($75/year). This donation will show your deep commitment to our neighborhood and we’ll recognize you with a free yard sign. The WNA is a non-profit organization and 100% of your membership dues/donation goes to maintaining and improving YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. Please renew or join now. After all, this group is by the people for the people of our neighborhood.
